Connecting Your Calendar

To use Client Portal's scheduling features -- booking links, availability management, and automated meeting creation -- you need to connect your calendar. Client Portal supports both Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.

Connecting Google Calendar

Follow these steps to connect your Google Calendar:

  1. Navigate to your Workspace Settings (click your avatar in the top-right corner, then select Settings).
  2. Find the Calendar Connection section.
  3. Click Connect Google Calendar.
  4. You will be redirected to Google's sign-in page. Sign in with the Google account that owns the calendar you want to use.
  5. Review the permissions requested and click Allow.
  6. You will be redirected back to Client Portal. Your Google Calendar is now connected.
  7. If you have multiple calendars, select which one Client Portal should use for scheduling.
Use your primary work calendar

Connect the calendar you actually use for day-to-day scheduling. Client Portal checks this calendar for conflicts when displaying your availability to people booking meetings with you.

Connecting Outlook Calendar

Follow these steps to connect your Microsoft Outlook calendar:

  1. Navigate to your Workspace Settings (click your avatar in the top-right corner, then select Settings).
  2. Find the Calendar Connection section.
  3. Click Connect Outlook.
  4. You will be redirected to Microsoft's sign-in page. Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account.
  5. Review the permissions requested and click Accept.
  6. You will be redirected back to Client Portal. Your Outlook calendar is now connected.
Microsoft 365 required

Outlook calendar integration requires a Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) account. Personal Outlook.com accounts may have limited functionality.

After Connecting

Once your calendar is connected, Client Portal will:

  • Check your calendar for conflicts when someone tries to book time with you
  • Create calendar events automatically when meetings are booked through your booking links
  • Include meeting details in the calendar event (attendee name, meeting link, notes)

You can verify your connection status at any time by returning to the Calendar Connection section in Settings. You will see a green "Connected" indicator with the email address associated with your calendar.

Changing Your Connected Calendar

If you need to switch to a different calendar:

  1. Go to Workspace Settings and find the Calendar Connection section.
  2. Click Disconnect next to your current calendar.
  3. Follow the connection steps above to connect your new calendar.

Troubleshooting

If your calendar connection fails, see the Troubleshooting page for common solutions, or refer to the detailed integration guides:

Browser pop-up blockers

The calendar connection process opens a pop-up window for authentication. If your browser blocks pop-ups, you may need to allow pop-ups from app.1hourrecruitment.com for the connection to complete.
