Viewing Your Markets

The Markets section of Client Portal is where you go to see everything happening inside your defined candidate markets. From the market list to individual market detail views, this is where intelligence lives.

Market List Page

When you navigate to Markets in the left sidebar, you land on your market list. This page shows all of your active markets in a scannable format.

For each market, you will see:

ColumnWhat It Shows
Market NameThe standardized name (e.g., "Patent Litigation -- Multi-Market")
StatusWhether the market is actively being covered
ContactsTotal number of contacts within this market
CallsNumber of calls completed within this market
SignalsCount of intelligence signals captured
Last ActivityWhen the most recent call or signal was logged

Market Detail View

The market detail page gives you a deep look inside a single market. It is organized into several sections:

Contacts

A table of all contacts within this market, including their name, firm, title, seniority, and last contacted date. You can click through to any contact's full profile from here.

Recent Calls

A chronological list of the most recent calls made within this market. Each entry shows the contact, disposition, and date. Click through to read the full transcript and AI summary.

Signals

The intelligence signals that have been captured from conversations in this market. Signals include movement state, timing window, motivation drivers, and more. See Understanding Signals for a full breakdown.

Firm Coverage

A breakdown of which firms are represented in this market and how many contacts have been reached at each firm. This helps you gauge where coverage is strong and where there may be gaps.

Filtering and Sorting

You can filter and sort your market list to find what you need quickly:

  • Sort by name, contact count, call count, signal count, or last activity date
  • Filter by status (active, paused) to focus on the markets that matter right now

Within a market detail view, you can also filter the contacts and calls lists by firm, seniority, or disposition.

Use filters to spot gaps

If a market has many contacts but few signals, it may indicate that conversations have not yet reached the depth where intelligence can be extracted. This is a natural part of relationship building -- signals increase as conversation quality deepens over time.

Requesting New Markets

If you want to add a new candidate market to your Client Portal workspace, reach out to your account manager directly. They will work with you to:

  1. Define the market parameters (practice area, geography, seniority, firm tier)
  2. Set up the market in your workspace
  3. Begin outreach and intelligence gathering

New markets typically start producing intelligence within the first few weeks of coverage.

Markets are collaborative

Your account manager defines and manages markets in partnership with you. If your recruiting priorities shift, markets can be adjusted, paused, or expanded to match.
